I really like Forumotion. Although if they did the whole database, uploading files to your site thing, would be so much better.

I also like Dreamhost. It's amazing. Although I've only demo-ed a site for a couple of months. It was a great experience. If I have money I would totally buy a domain with them. But I don't T_T

If you want big traffic on your site, you vBulletin or .NET would be great, but if you are new to making forums, FreeForum or Forumotion is good to.
